EatLocally ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Viva Inc. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use the EatLocally platform, including the #EatLocal community dining programs.

Information You Provide
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number when you activate your card or submit a form.
- Payment information: Payment card details for card top-ups, processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.
- Employer/sponsor information: Company name, contact details, and program configuration for sponsors.
Information Collected Automatically
- Transaction data: When you use your #EatLocal card, we record the merchant name, location, amount, date, and time.
- Card usage data: Balance, spending patterns, and rebate history.
- Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, and device type when you visit our website.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Process card transactions and post purchase rebates
- Manage your card balance and spending controls
- Send transaction confirmations, rebate notifications, and program updates
- Generate engagement reports for sponsors (aggregated, not individual)
- Generate impact reports for chambers of commerce
- Detect and prevent fraud
- Improve the platform and develop new features
3. How We Share Your Information
- Stripe: Payment processing, card issuance, and transaction settlement. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Your sponsor/employer: Aggregated program usage data (total spend, participation rates). We do not share individual transaction details with sponsors unless you consent.
- Chamber of commerce: Aggregated economic impact data across all sponsors and participants.
- Restaurants: Aggregate traffic data (number of #EatLocal visitors, total revenue). No individual participant data is shared with restaurants.
- Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Retention
We retain your account and transaction data for as long as your account is active, plus 3 years for tax and compliance purposes. You can request deletion of your account by contacting us.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Request a copy of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing

EatLocally is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
