#DineInCupertino Challenge · Q3 2026

Which Cupertino company eats most local?

Four brackets. Four champions. One community. Every Cupertino business is competing to support local restaurants — by ordering catering, booking team events, and sending employees to chamber-member spots. Q3 champions announced at the Chamber's quarterly mixer on October 12.

1
Q3 Champion of the Quarter
Comerica Bank — led by Sarah Chen.
Top of the 50-200 employee bracket. Sarah's team has booked catering from 8 different chamber-member restaurants this quarter, with every department lunch sourced locally. The Cupertino Chamber will recognize Comerica at the Oct 12 mixer.
The Brackets

Apple isn't competing against the 5-person law firm.

Companies are bracketed by employee count, so the 6-person dental practice has a real shot at winning — and the 3,000-person institution does too. One champion per bracket each quarter.

How scoring works.

Catering
One point per dollar of catering ordered through EatLocally from any chamber-member restaurant.
Team Events
1.5×
Booking a wine tasting, chef's table, boba run, or other team event package gets 1.5× the points.
Reservations
0.5×
Dine-in reservations through EatLocally count too, at half the rate of catering.
Variety Bonus
+10%
For supporting 5+ different restaurants in a quarter. The challenge rewards spreading the love.
Brackets are by self-reported employee count. Within a bracket, scores are normalized per-employee so a 10-person team really can compete with a 50-person team. Updated monthly. Quarterly champions announced at the Cupertino Chamber's mixer. Program terms.
